From master farceur Ray Cooney comes this madcap comedy. Set in St. Andrew’s Hospital in London in the early 90s, the play follows Dr. Mortimore, who seeks to deliver the prestigious Ponsonby Lecture at an international conference, all while trying to fend off a paternity suit, an ex-lover, the police, cantankerous patients, people falling out of windows, and a host of lunatics running in and out of doors mistaking everybody for someone else. If you loved last year’s production of “The Play That Goes Wrong,” we know that you’ll love this hysterical show. Come out for a night of gut busting comedy and crazy antics!

General Admission Seating

Tickets - $20

Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the door prior to performances. (All online ticket orders will need to either be printed tickets or shown on a mobile device at the door of the performance.) Shows will not be canceled due to inclement weather. In most cases, refunds are not available.

Christ Wesleyan Church and CW Theatre do not retain any of the additional ticketing fees. All ticketing fees are paid directly to the ticketing company that manages our ticket sales.

If using a credit card, your purchase will appear on your credit card statement as "Event Ticket Purchased" even though your order confirmation and receipt will say "TMania Tickets" If you have questions about the purchases on your financial statements, please contact us directly before initiating a chargeback through your bank or credit card provider.

At the Door

Tickets will be available at the door prior to performances unless sold out. On-campus ticket sales accept cash or checks, and credit cards. We recommend arriving early to allow time to purchase tickets and getting to your seat. Doors open a 30 minutes before show time. All seating is general admission. We recommend arriving early to find your desired seats.

Are there different ticket prices for children or seniors?

No, all tickets for this show are a general admission ticket, available for $20.

Is this show appropriate for all ages? Are there any content considerations I should be aware of?

“It Runs in the Family” has some mild adult themes. The show contains some sequences of peril and drinking, all of which are simulated and used for comedic effect. The show has several instances where characters display a lack of sensitivity to issues of mental health. The show also contains references to infidelity.

Is handicap seating available?

Yes! When you arrive on our campus, please speak to our a box office volunteers or an usher and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Will there be tickets available at will call?

No, tickets will not be available at will call. We recommend that you order your tickets online before our show. Tickets can also be ordered over the phone, but will need to be sent electronically to your email address.
